Congressman Danny K. Davis is hosting his annual Back to School Picnic and Parade.  In addition, all vehicles are invited to join the Back to School Parade and participate in the  Congressional App Challenge * Technology in the Park * Health fair * Job Opportunities etc. We cannot afford to be complacent about education.  We must continue encouraging young people to stay in school and get an education. So for over 40 years, Congressman Danny K. Davis has convened this collaborative event with the community, residents, organizations, and young people. In addition, with a profound understanding that children, youth, and young adults cannot access computers and the internet, this event has provided coding, robotics, and other training to young people in Chicago's neighborhoods at the annual Back to School event.

Date: August 31, 2024

Parade (Join the parade by entering your car, van or another vehicle)

8:30 a.m.          Parade Lines Up

10:00 a.m.        Parade Kick-off

Central (5600 West) and Bloomingdale (1500 North)

12:30 p.m. Parade Ends and Picnic Begins  Technology in the Park begins

Picnic (free school supplies, book bags, food and beverages)

Health Fair begins   4:00 p.m. approximate time event ends
